VETERAN SERVICES

1 in 3 seniors in this country is a veteran or surviving spouse of a veteran.

Our fathers, mothers, and friends may be eligible for a unique benefit from the Veterans Administration (VA) called “Aid and Attendance.” This benefit provides up to $2,100 per month to help eligible Veterans or their surviving spouses receive non-medical care in their home or chosen place of residence. There are currently over 2 million Veterans who the VA believes could qualify for this benefit and only 25% of them are currently taking advantage of it.

This benefit requires that you comply with the following:

  • You are over age 65.
  • You are a Veteran or a surviving spouse of a Veteran.
  • The Veteran served as “Active Military” status for 90 days during an approved time of war: WWII, Korean War, Vietnam War. See below for eligible wartime periods.
  • The Veteran had an honorable discharge.
  • The Veteran or surviving spouse meets income requirements.
  • The Veteran or surviving spouse needs assistance with bathing, grooming, meal preparation, etc. on a regular basis in order to stay independent in their home or chosen place of residence.

Comfort Zone Home Care is dedicated to helping veterans who have proudly served their country, or their surviving spouses, get the benefits they deserve.

  • We help you determine if you qualify for the VA Aid and Attendance Pension Benefit.
  • We assist you in identifying and obtaining documents needed for the application.
  • We help you complete and submit the application to the VA at no cost.
We start providing your home care services within a short period of time, sometimes in just weeks.
  • We cover the cost of home care services. When the VA approves the application, Comfort Zone collects its payment from the monies paid by the VA dating back to the initiation of services.
  • We monitor your application’s progress, and assist with responses to VA requests for additional information until your pension is approved.
  • Comfort Zone will continue to provide your home care services.

Even after you receive your pension, we keep working for you. We’re always a phone call or email away if you have questions or concerns.
